Cost of owning a luxury car, like a Ferrari, can be very expensive. There are many costs that goes into owning one than that most people are aware of and that is the main purpose for this website. Here, we will break down the costs of owning two different types of luxury cars, one is going to be a Ferrari supercar and the other being a luxury car built for comfort such as the Rolls Royce Phantom.
Ferrari LaFerrari:
Translating to "The Ferrari" this car is as beautiful and fast as it is expensive. Costing well over $1 million USD with the price going higher each year due to it being out of production now, the main problem is to first accquire one as to own a LaFerrari from Ferrari themselves, you have to buy some of their lower end cars in order to be eligible to even buy one of these holy grail of hypercars. Then, theres taxes you have to pay for these bad boys, mostly depending on the country you are from. Then theres the cost of gas which is going to be alot if you try to use it as a daily driver to to its low miles to the gallon. Then theres costs of maintaining it with yearly checkups as well as changing the oil or spark plugs, all of which are going to be higher than your average Toyota due to the parts here being a lot more expensive. Also, the LaFerrari will also not be street legal in most places and in order to drive this car you will also need to rent out a track which costs alot alongside the transportation cost that goes with it.
Rolls Royce Phantom:
This British luxury car is the definition of high luxury and arguably the most luxurious car you can get in the market. With it's cost being less than half of that of the LaFerrari, it still costs a pretty penny. A typical Phantom ussually starts aroung $500,000 USD but will cost differently based on what specs you buy it at. Normally you would drive around a phantom a lot more than you would your LaFerrari due to it being a lot more reliable than the Ferrari and you can drive it basically anywhere (other than off-roading, that would be dumb). The costs would still be enormous to own a Rolls and it would come with the same amount of taxes as would come with a Ferrari as well as high gas prices due to you driving it more than your Ferrari. Also a proper Rolls Royce also requires a chauffeur, as it is built for comfort and to be seated at the back seat. If you feel like driving your own rolls buy a Ghost.
And that would conclude the true cost of owning two of the most iconic luxury cars in recent history.
